Payload Categories

Payloads are categorized. The categories are:

access

Access payloads create a more usable access from physical access, usually in form of admin (or root) accounts.

Extraction payloads extract certain data from the device, could be files, password hashes, anything.

Infection payloads infect the target OS with some kind of payload.

Tampering payloads change data on disk, be it changing passwords, or swapping files.

Other payloads which do not match any of the above or are best not put there.
